Weather hazards expected... Limited hail risk. Limited thunderstorm wind damage risk. Elevated lightning risk. Elevated excessive heat risk. DISCUSSION... Showers and thunderstorms will generally affect locations along and north of US Highway 54 this morning. The most intense storms could produce hail to the size of quarters and damaging winds in excess of 60 mph. Frequent cloud to ground lightning and locally heavy rainfall will also be possible. Additional showers and thunderstorms will be possible overnight into early Sunday, also along and north of US highway 54. Afternoon and evening heat index values will range from the upper 90s to low 100`s across southeast Kansas and the Missouri Ozarks. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Sunday through Friday. Showers and thunderstorms will be possible Sunday and Sunday night with some severe thunderstorms possible across the area. Heat index values will reach the 100 to 110 degree range from Sunday through Tuesday across the area. Scattered thunderstorm chances will return by the middle of next week. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
